Dr Clare Stewart FRACGP MBBS DCH BBioMedSc (Hons)

Clare completed her General Practice Training in 2021, after graduating from medical school at Sydney University in 2010. She has worked at a number of regional and metro hospitals, and has completed additional diplomas and training in Child Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Emergency Medicine.

Clare currently works in a variety of general practice roles, including at Balmain Village Health, with the Royal Flying Doctors Service in Broken Hill, and as a regular locum GP in Canowindra, a small town in central west NSW. In addition, she holds a role with the Voluntary Assisted Dying team for Sydney Local Health District, is involved with teaching and supervising GP registrars for the RACGP, and holds a number of positions with the Central Sydney Primary Health Network, including writing and editing clinical guidelines for other GPs.

Clare welcomes all patients. She is accredited to provide antenatal shared care with RPA Hospital, and also to insert Implanon and IUD devices and provide medical termination of pregnancy. Clare enjoys providing longitudinal care for her patients and their families, aiming to provide a safe and inclusive consultation space for all.

• Women’s and reproductive health (including contraception, unplanned pregnancy, antenatal and postnatal care, and menopause)
• Palliative and end of life care (including voluntary assisted dying).

Outside of medicine, she spends time with her 3 school aged boys, husband and greyhound, usually at various sporting events around Sydney!
