Specialised services

As a general practice clinic, we offer a full range of GP services, in a warm and welcoming environment. We also offer a range of specialised and allied health services.

Audiometry

Audiometry

We are lucky to have on-site audiologist Jessica Rom from Audika offering teens and adults comprehensive audiometry to assess your hearing. She will test your hearing and provide insights into your auditory health along with next steps for management including monitoring of high risk individuals, advice on hearing protection and the organising and maintenance of hearing aids.

Speech pathology

Speech pathology

Leah McComiskie is an experienced, local speech pathologist that works with adults that need speech and swallowing support. Leah conveniently offers both in practice and home visits and will do a comprehensive assessment before guiding you through exercises. This is an amazing service to improve symptoms of vocal cord dysfunction (hoarseness, nodules, spasm) as well as those needing support with swallowing such as after a stroke or managing symptoms from diseases such as achalasia, parkinson's, myasthenia gravis or motor neurone disease. Speech pathology costs can be offset by a GP Chronic Disease Management Plan with up to five subsidised sessions each calendar year.

Intrauterine device (IUD/Mirena) insertion

Intrauterine device (IUD/Mirena) insertion

Dr Sue and Dr Clare offer IUD insertion (Mirena/Kyleena). These are long-acting contraceptives that sit in the uterus and are effective for five to eight years (eight for contraception, five for endometrial protection on HRT). For most women they also reduce bleeding, minimising pain and iron loss. All patients need to see Dr Clare or Dr Sue for an initial pre-insertion consultation to discuss the procedure. Please book with Dr Clare or Dr Sue online or through reception (15 minute appointment for one issue, longer if you have multiple issues to discuss).

See here for more detailed info on IUDs.

Skin cancer checks

Skin cancer checks

Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer worldwide with 2 out of 3 Australians having skin cancer diagnosed in their lifetime! Getting an annual skin check is an essential part of preventative health care and whilst all our doctors will look at rashes or individual lesions of concern some of our doctors are sub-specialised in identifying skin cancers, performing biopsies and skin excisions. You can book with Dr Sue, Dr Cassandra or Dr Ravi for a "skin cancer check" which is an appointment to have a full scalp to toe examination to look for suspicious lesions. Dr Ravi also runs a dedicated skin cancer clinic on Friday afternoons providing skin checks and excisions.
